Greater Manchester Police has put a caller to shame for dialing the emergency services to express his concerns over KFC.
Hundreds of restaurant chains across the country had to shut their doors on hungry customers last month due to chicken delivery issues.
“I don’t know how you feel about this but KFC is closed, I am entirely unhappy, I have to go to Burger King now,” he said.

The operator then proceeds to tell the caller he is “taking the mick.”
But he tries to defend his actions by explaining he was always told to call 999 in case of an emergency, and apparently having his dinner plans left in tatters classifies as an urgent police matter.
According to the force another emergency call was missed as a result.
GMP receives around 1500 emergency calls per day and in the last financial year the force’s control room saw over 4000 hoax requests.
