When trying to pawn stolen goods it probably isn’t a good idea to try to offer them to the owner of the house you burgled.

But that’s what a pair from Tennessee in the US are accused of doing.

Clarksville Police Department say that Jeremy Allen Watts, 30, and Jessica Faye Heady, 24, visited a second hand shop to sell several items including games console parts.

The Leaf Chronicle reports that the force accuses Watts and Heady of trying to sell two stolen PlayStation video game systems, controllers, video games and DVDs – valued at more than $1,000.

The pawn shop’s owner Edward Dial is said to have recognised the items, gone home to check and found they were missing.
